Paul Valéry famously said “Two dangers are constantly threatening the world: Order and Disorder.”
Valéry’s context was the rise of totalitarianism. Excessive order that claimed to fight disorder, if you will. In our digital world the dangers are overexposure (to the point of our data and identities being traded as commodities) and underexposure (losing out by being invisible in a digital world).
